Hey, I'm Karen,
Just getting started here on this site and have been reading for hours. My husband and I have had a pool for a few years now, and up until now, have almost always been able to keep it pretty. It has turned green this time, and through this site have learned that thr reason why the chlorine isn't working is because the cya was super high. I have been draining and adding new water every day and rechecked. Went from 90 at its highest to 50 today. Hoping it will be less tomorrow. I'm wondering how much liquid chlorine do I put inthe pool to slam it once I get the cya lowered hoping to 30. Checked ph-0, chlorine- 0. Didn't do the fc or cc, since the other test showed 0s. I'm readytohave my pool back to blue. Thank you for reading.

Welcome to TFP!!! :swim:

The first question to answer is...what test kit are you using to test your pool water? pH of "0" doesn't make sense.

I would start here --> Pool Care Basics

I would also download this --> PoolMath
Use the same ID/PW to login as you do to the forum. Pool Math will help you with how much LChlorine to add to SLAM.
