No it was new from Amazon. Less than a week. New solution came from Leslie's. But OCLT this AM had me at 1ppm maybe 1.2 loss of FC, no CC and crystal clear water. I'm Declaring success.
Sounds like great progress, after your hard work scrubbing the pool.
You may want to try one more OCLT, given that you were apparently a little over the 1 ppm overnight loss on FC... Did you actually run the 25 ml sample size both last night and this morning? Just wondering, since you say "maybe 1.2" when reporting.
No I ran the 10ml. I meant to put maybe 1.25. Last night was 28.25-28.5. This AM was 27-27.5. Hard to tell honestly because there is a definite change from pink to clearish but it never goes truly clear or colorless. There is always the faintest hint of light purple, but it's a definite transition.
Good news! Congrats! Did you pull the light and clean behind it? Under the ladder rungs? Maybe hold your chlorine up a little longer and scrub those algae hiding places to be sure. It is safe to swim with chlorine up to shock level for your CYA. Maybe keep it around 20 for a few more days. It will take a few days to drop anyway.
Thanks. I have no stairs. Need to get behind light but ran out of time. Plus I didn't want to cut power to pool with the pump running 24/7. I'm Working 24 hours today but will get it tomorrow. Having my wife add a gallon of 6% every other hour through tonight.
