New to the BBB method

Muriatic acid and liquid chlorine can be poured directly into the pool, preferably in front of a return with the pump running. You can mix the area a little with a pool brush if you want, but it's not absolutely necessary.

CYA (granular stabilizer) should be placed in a sock and hung in front of a return from a pole or anything similar so the water agitates it. Periodically squeeze the sock and that will get the CYA into the water. Avoid adding chemicals directly to the skimmer (except DE if you have a DE filter) . If your pump is off, the acidity of the chemicals can attack gaskets at your pump equipment when the pump finally turns on.

If you need baking soda to raise TA, which you probably won't if you follow the BBB method, you can just broadcast that into the pool as well or mix it in a bucket with water as well.

Calcium chloride should be mixed in a bucket with water first and then slowly poured into the water.
