Hi!

My name is Cesar Fernandez and I have a 16X32 pool with about 13K gallons.

I used to hire a pool service (TFP Mod Edit), but they did a lousy job when the SWG no longer generated chlorine. So I have taken things into my own hands so my pool stays in good shape. I have the Taylor K-2006 to test my pool's chemicals.

I need a bit more CYA to reach the desired 70-80 PPM, I'm gonna use granules, and I've read to use a sock in front of a return to dissolve them.

I have the item above with a broken rim, do you think I could use this mesh for that purpose? Or should I use a sock/knee-high/Pool Skimmer Sock instead?

Thanks!

Cesar

Welcome to TFP! Jim likes the knee highs for stabilizer, you'll have to ask him why. :poke: I use a plain white tube sock. Let the sock pre-soak in the skimmer for about 30 minutes, then I take it over the return jets and squeeze it all out in a matter of minutes. Easy stuff.
