Hi! What a great resource you have provided! I'm kind of overwhelmed as a new pool owner and underwhelmed with the "local pool guys" ability to watch our pool as advertised.
Because of the latter, I decided to browse online and stumbled upon this place. Thank You. I also bought a Taylor K-2006C test kit as it seemed like it was popular here. Here are my today's test results. Any advise appreciated. Water is just barely cloudy, but old test kit showed almost NO Chlorine 3 days ago, salt level was only 2600, so I added 2 bags of salt and two Chlorine tabs into skimmer (and fired pool guy who hadn't been out in 11 days).
Today:
FC 3.2
CC .8
pH 7.6
TA 160 (high)
CH 100
CYA less than 30 (stayed clear to the top, so I guess too low?)
My Intellichlor is set to 30%
Salt level is at 3200
Water temp is 88 degrees (way too hot for me but wife and kids love it on our cooler nights).
We keep it covered every night, but open it every day for at least 8-10 hours.
