Good day! I just got my Taylor kit. 25000 gallon gunite pool. New to use this year. We have an automatic chlorine system set at 4 I think.
My results are as follows
Free total and combined chlorine all looked clear. IMG_1098.jpeg
Next is ph
Total alk is 130
Calcium hardness is 220
Cya test did not turn cloudy and I could always see the black dot on the bottom of the tube
Where should I start?? Thank you Brad

Welcome to TFP.

What Taylor test kit did you get?

How will you be chlorinating your pool?

Lower your pH into the 7's using Muriatic acid.

Add at least 30ppm of stabilizer using the sock method.

Add at least 5ppm of liquid chlorine.

Taylor 2005 kit. I have pucks for chlorine

For pH I would mix 8 oz muriatic acid with 8 ounces of water (add acid to water always) with pumps running. Test in a few hours. Repeat until you see mid 7's. You'll likely need about 20 ounces total.

No reason to dilute acid before adding it.

Just pour the acid does directly into the pool.

The less handling of acid the better.
