New to TFP and building a pool!

Thanks Poolgate. The house is located at the bottom of the page. When you walk out of our back door you’ll go down two steps to the 14’x24’ raised concrete patio. The wind blows from the left side of the drawing to the right side. I️’m really not sure about placement of the skimmers. I placed them on that side because the wind would blow towards them. What would be your recommendation on spacing them further apart?
Where do you think a better location would be for the swim out?
As far as the sheer waterfall, I’m researching those now along with deck jets.
I️ love the feedback on here. I’m trying to be as informed as I️ can be before we break ground.

The shallow end skimmer I think is good for the deep end skimmer I'd go between the board and the swim-out. That is roughly where mine is accept I am opposite. I think the swim-out is located fine. My wind blows from right to left, shallow end to deep end. My skimmers are located very well for collecting garbage and the deep end skimmer picks up the most. I'd angle the returns towards the left for a clockwise rotation.

Your light location is going to be tricky. I think I'd have one at the bottom and one around 10 o'clock? I don't think you need more than 2 lights.

Also stone-marking like I have (see my pics) is WAY cheaper than stamped with a great look. It was only $1 more per square foot.

Here is an updated sketch of our ideas for our concrete pool. We flipped the swim out to the other side. If we left it on the right side we was worried about it collecting trash due to the wind direction.
Does anyone see any issues with placement of skimmers, lights, returns or any potential problems?

This past week I dropped off our site plan to get the land disturbance permit. I hope to have it by the end of this week. Then I can apply for my building permit. I hope to start digging 1/26.

Saturday I was able to get some young teenager help from my son and his friend. We started removing the old wooden deck.

We will try and relocate the large crepe myrtle.

A couple of pictures before destroying the deck.

I like what I see! Well thought out! You are going to have a well lit pool and plenty of returns. Good job thinking about the wind pattern in your yard and the skimmers and shallow end.

I REALLY like the teens helping out. They earned their dinner and pillow with that for sure!

I bet you are going to be sad to see that deck go...........many a dinner was enjoyed on it I bet!
