Hi everyone, we just purchased a home with an in ground pool which is inside a lanaii. It's a smaller pool with a max depth of 5'. Needs some care such as water
Line tile grout and a palm tree hanging over it dropping junk too often. I continued using the pool guy that the previous owners used because they were winter only residents. Now that I've seen what it takes to maintain it, I want to take over from the pro since it's 125/ mo.
The only thing that worries me is it's only June and already getting too warm. 87, which probably makes it a little tougher to keep the chemicals perfect.

Welcome to TFP. You have found the right forum to assist with all aspects of pool ownership.
The first thing you will need is a good test kit - see Test Kits Compared
Also read up on Pool Care Basics and Recommended Levels

Once you start testing you will find that balancing your water will be quite straight-forward. The goal is to have the pool water properly sanitized for enjoyable swimming. It may look daunting but quite easy once you start to understand how it all works.

don't go to a pool store for their "free" water tests as they will try to sell you a lot of unnecessary chemicals.

Please provide info on the size of the pool, dimensions and volume and what type of pump, filter, cleaner, etc you have. That will be helpful in any future questions you may have.
