Hi, I have set my 26’x52” intex pool up and want to do the BBB method. I have the starter recipe that I found. It says I need to add the dichlor every evening and before someone swims, but I don’t know how long I need to do this for. Do I do this till all the levels get stable? Also is the members mark brand shock from Sam’s the right shock? It says it is dichlor so I was thinking it was. This is all new to me. :)

Welcome to TFP! One of the most important things you will need moving forward is one of the two recommended test kits, tf100 from tftestkits.net or the Taylor K-2006C. The TFP methodology promotes only adding to your pool what the pool needs in chemicals. You will want to know how much liquid chlorine to add based upon your test results. The same with lowering pH with muriatic acid. The only way to know is with one of the recommended test kits.

Ok, with all of that said, you'll want liquid chlorine, muriatic acid, cyanuric acid. Find a source for those chemicals. Big box stores, Walmart, etc. Welcome, ask questions one of the more experienced users and mods will be along to answer.

Hey khol and Welcome !!!!
This is all new to me.
It was to us TOO. Check out my man above. Guess how he chose his username ? Because the pool store took him for a ride. Its a joke term we throw around to describe it as SO many members went for the same ride.

But you found us *before* that, so you already have that going for you. We got the rest. Read up as suggested. We will happily fill in any blanks.
