new to pools and forum

Good day, I recently bought a home with a pool already in the back yard. I don't have a lot of information on it at all. I do know it's a 24ft round above ground pool (had to replace the liner). It has a sand filter. I use chlorine not salt. no heater (although not a bad idea being from northeast Ohio). my pump is a hayward power flow. and the timestamp on the pool says march 3rd, of 2006. My son love it; he swims often. I usually go in it when he does; not much by myself. Attached pic of pool. Need to replace some of the plastic caps around the pool but non of the local shops can help.
