New to pool maintenance

Hello from south central Massachusetts!
I’m new to pool maintenance and believe i’ve been poolstored!! We opened the pool and got it to where it was supposed to be. Used it for a couple of weeks, had family over and in a matter of days we had yellow algae and cloudiness. 3 poolstore visits, $500, frustration levels rising and three weeks later, it’s still cloudy. We have a 30,000 gallon inground. Help!!

Add 5ppm of liquid chlorine per day until the kit arrives.

Yes, can imagine. As @PoolStored ^^^^ we got your back. Get that kit like yesterday as the faster you start the sooner you'll be done. Crucial point here with adding 5ppm liquid chlorine until the kit arrives so it won't take a drastic turn. With 12.5% chlorine you'll need 160 ounces and 10%/200 ounces will yield 5ppm.
