Hello forum members,
We've been slowly upgrading our 1984 pool and we would like to replace our super noisy single speed pump with a VS one and if possible, add a SWG.
Our plumbing is very straightforward with 1 Jandy valve controlling the flow between the pool vac (right side of valve) and on the left the two skimmers and 1 floor drain.
The return flows through the heater and directly to 6 return jets poolside.
Here is the equipment pad

Trying to work within our budget but and also wanting to triple the capacity of the SWG for Vegas summers, here are the products we picked:
CircuPool RJ-30
Pentair 342001 SuperFlo VS Pump 1 1/2 HP
Questions:
1) Is there enough room in the return for a SWG?
2) Will this VS pump be able to run our Hayward Pool Vac on low speed? Or any speed? The 2" PVC to the pump from the pool vac is 1 1/2" PVC at the pool wall and the conversion from 1 1/2" PVC to 2" PVC is somewhere under a concrete pool deck.
3) Other equipment better suited for our application?
4) Any red flags/issues/plumbing set-up problems you guys see?
We plan to hire a professional for install but any guidance from forum members would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Deb
