New swamp (hopefully pool again) owner

I am SO proud of that pretty FL pool! WOW is that really the same pool? OH YEAH!

When I had to dive down to patch a pinhole in the liner it took my husband holding my legs as I swam down to put the patch on LOL NOT fun but it worked.

Got a new cover since the old one had nasty rust stains. I think most of what I see there on the drain basin is rust staining, but I couldn't see as well as I would have liked even when I was fairly close. Might need to try with goggles.

Hahaha! How many screw holes are in your drain cover and how many are on the drain? I can't tell. It looks like the drain itself is chipped??

For a second there I thought I was reading the beginning of a joke. [emoji23] Lol. Took me a second to realize it was just a normal sentence. I think I'm tired today.

How many screw holes does it take.... I don't know... Reminded me of the how many to screw in a light bulb jokes and I was looking for the punch line. I guess that was pizza!!

Pool looks amazing. I just finished a slam myself. Its amazing that people on this website are willing to help as much as they are. If it wasn't for this site I'd be down hundreds of dollars and probably still have a green pool.

Thanks for the votes of approval :)

I think the total for bleach was 50 bottles of dollar tree .75 gallon, mostly dumped in the first 2 days and before I started understanding that it's quality is questionable, then I switched to 3 packs of clorox from Costco, I can't remember if I used 9 or 12 gallons that way and I just finished off a bottle of 5.25 from Ace.

Well I was able to get a good look at the main drain basin today. The dark areas on the pictures are just rust staining. The one big problem is that it looks like one of the screw holes has a rusted broken piece of screw left in it. The good news is I have dealt with this kind of thing numerous times in my life and I have possibilities to choose from. The bad news is I have never employed these options while several feet underwater. Obviously drills, dremels and other power tools will be scratched from consideration ;-)
