Salt Water Generator
Hi.
Had pool resurfaced 3 weeks ago (pebblecrete) and have it balanced using liquid chlorine and acid.
T/a is high atm at 100 and ph is around 7.2

Will be adding salt in 1 week and currently have the swg turned to 0 , but the pump going 6 hrs daily.

My question is, do I add salt gradually or all at once. Pool math says roughly 280kg.

Is it correct to not start the SWG for 24 hours. And what % do I set the chlorine output to initially.
Thanks

Add the salt all at once to the deep end. Brush the salt that falls to the floor ariund until it dissolves. Do not let it sit on the floor of the pool.

Run the pump for 24 hours before turning on the SWG.

I don’t know the size of your SWG cell to comment on what %.

What % did you run the SWG before?

Thanks. Not sure of the size of the SWG cell but I always ran it around 90%.
