New Spa arrived damaged

My hot tub just arrived after a super long wait with damage to the acrylic shell. Seems a fork lift hit it at some point. I was given the option of a return with new one to ship when available which I assume will take forever or a spot repair with some money back. What would you do? I’m particularly concerned that the crack spreads over time and my whole tub is ruined! Is that a rational fear / can the crack spread? Local Spa dealer claims it will not spread.

I would return it. Even though it’s going to take a long time for a new one. I’m not sure on the cracking but I can tell you there is a 100% chance that they will not be able to match the color/style. So even if they patch it you will still know it’s there because the patch will be different. Also when I think patching I think of the compound they put on cars that eventually fade in color and chip off.
You paid for a new spa you deserve a new looking spa.
If you can live with what’s mentioned above then go for it.
