New RJ45+ Install, I glue like a 5 year old.

I decided to have my install face down considering I had the room. I put the flow sensor 1st so the water would hit it from above. I am currently running off the 120v plug to a timer. I think next season I’ll may replace my Polaris 380 and booster pump with a robot and convert the SWG back to 220 and use the timer that the booster pump uses now.

Looking clear but too cold to swim in yet, only about 61 degrees. Lol

Looks good! I would flip that cell though so the cable comes out at the bottom. Less chance of water penetration.

Is the RJ series cell not directional? The EDGE I installed yesterday is very clearly marked with what direction the water should flow.

You glue like a 5 year old? You probably shouldn't eat the PVC glue. But what's it taste like?

Use the clear PVC glue, then you can't really tell how messy it is.

According to manual, side with a cable is considered inlet side. In posted picture it looks like it is installed backwards.

The wording in the manual is vague IMO: "When positioning the Cell, you can consider the side of the cell with the cord the "inlet" side"

Out of curiosity contacted Circupool about the cell. They state the cell is not directional. Only the flow switch is directional.

You should see my FIL’s PVC glue jobs if you think that is bad.

If there was a way to post a "HaHa" like to a thread title, this would be it... The "pros" aren't any better.. They just have special tools, like a can of spray paint so you can't tell

Or they use the "clear primer" which hides sloppy glue ups.

Don't worry mine isn't much better, and I was careful this time to not go crazy with the primer and glue. In the manual it says the corded side is the inlet. I think it would also be prudent to have the corded side facing downward for water intrusion purposes.
