New Resurface Uneven Floor.. Help

I just had my pool resurfaced with a mini Pebble Tec product. I just completed filling it with water this morning. Last night, I turned on the pool light and discovered multiple waves in the bottom of the shallow end. It looks as if it was not troweled right. In the daylight, I did not notice any lumps or waves. I contacted the installer this morning. They replied to keep brushing it everyday for 30 days and it should go away. Does this sound right? I don't see how brushing the bottom will smooth this out. What should I do? Should I push the issue, make them drain and buff it smooth or recomplete the whole job? Or will brushing eventually smooth it out? Thank you for any advice that you can provide!

Agree it won't go away but also looks perfectly normal (or within the range of normal). Light at that angle is very unflattering to a pool surface.

The only downside of TFPC pool water is it will always be that clear so you will see the imperfections! Most people don't see them eventually as their water is dull and cloudy.

Take care!

Thank you for the responses! My pool coordinator called me back and reassured me that it will go away with daily scrubbing. Apparently the muriatic acid with scrubbing will smooth it out. (I don't think so too) He also said, if it doesn't they will defiantly fix it. I hope they stand behind what he is saying! If not those trowel marks are going to bug me forever..

Make sure you that in writing!

I have the same imperfections that are highlighted with my LED lights. I brushed everyday and did the acid treatments and they are still as visible as day one. I come to understand that this effect is completely normal and have accepted it as such.

It's probably not going away.

Minor roughness is greatly magnified by the angle of the light.

Perfectly smooth plaster is not realistic.

I wouldn't say that the roughness was excessive.

Maybe flip over the light lens so it doesn't hit the bottom at that angle.

Maybe use eyeballs to direct return water to ripple the surface.
