Hello, we had a new RayPak 406k installed today. I would like to learn the best tips for helping it run well, and last a long time. I have read some things here about concerns with copper and such. Is there a pool water chemistry recommendation or chemicals levels to adjust to prevent bad things from happening?

Thanks!

I just got a brand new Raypak 266 myself.

I knew I needed to get a new heater anyways..the old one was on it's last days,
but the deep freeze from last winter killed early....lesson I learned:

make sure the heat exchanger is drained out before freezing temps occur!

That and just making sure your ph is balanced are the 2 single most important aspects.

Chemistry, chemistry, chemistry. I also had a new Raypak heater installed recently. I had two maintenance tips: cover the top for the winter (I live in Chicago) and keep your chemistry in check. What's good for the pool is good for the heater.
