Just got my pool re-plastered, and filled 6 days ago. When can I start using my chlorine tab feeder? I can’t seem to find anything definitive on this. Also. My two dogs get in on the top two steps and drink and cool off. I have not allowed them yet. When could I let them in? Do I worry about their claws? It is quartz plaster. Thanks!!

Have you invested in a good test kit to monitor water chemistry -

Cleaners should not be put into the pool for 30 days so I would be careful regarding the dogs on the steps or tanning shelf.
Please be aware that dogs in a pool can increase the need for higher chlorine levels and if they lose lots of hair, it will require the filter to be cleaned more often.

Thanks! I did order a Taylor K-2006C, will be here tomorrow. The company did leave me the sheet from NPC, and I am following that , and brushing twice a day. I was just concerned that the dogs claws might hurt the plaster. Thanks for the reply!
