Here's what I would do:
FC/CYA Levels
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
SLAM Process
Once you get pH and FC stabilized we'll look at raising CYA slightly. But don't over-worry about CYA for now. 30 will get you by until you get FC and pH stabilized. You'll get the hang of this pretty quickly then you can tweak other results. We focus on FC and pH because they can cause problems pretty quickly. pH should always be between 7 and 8. I would test for FC and pH several times per day this weekend if possible. Test a lot over the next couple of days so you get a feel for your pool. If you have algae but it hasn't bloomed yet your FC can drop quickly. After a week or so you can back off to daily. Then every other day. But you'll need to stay at that frequency for several weeks. The thing is FC too low can turn into a green pool in hours and pH out of range can cause plaster damage or deposits. That's why they're the first focus.
I hope this helps.

- For now focus on FC, CC pH.
- CYA is OK for now.
- What does the water look like? If you see any algae you need to SLAM. If not, do the following:
- Test for pH then raise your FC to 6 ppm.
- Keep FC within the chart target range and never at min. A little higher is always better than min.
- 30 min after your FC is at the right level start to adjust your pH.
- Add acid to get your pH down to 7.6 and only add enough acid to drop .4 pH units at a time or less.
- It's natural to believe pool store test results are a great check on your tests since you're new. Our experience suggests otherwise. The tests we recommend are chosen because they are more reliable for normal pool owners. Even the CYA test that's a little difficult will produce better results than your pool store. Hard to believe I know but it's what we find.
