New Pool Start up

Need some help we just started up a brand new above grd pool, better late then never, and the water is kinda a greenish blue.

CC - 0
PH- 7.8
TA -175
CH -250
CyA - 0

I added chlorine and CYA only so far. Pool was greenish blue before adding bleach and cya. It took 2 days to fill the pool. I am using softened well water. My question is is this from well water or could if be algae? any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is the water a green tint or is it cloudy?

Do you have iron in your fill water? You say softened but your CH is tested at 250ppm. How is that?

The water is very clear just an off color and yes we have Iron in the fill water we have extreamly hard water with iron. . Yes i believe the # are right i dont believe the water softener was able to keep up with the pool fill

So the best thing to do is to remove as much of this oxidized iron as possible.

The use of polyfill in the skimmer, creating a polyfill filter (search the forum) and cleaning your cartridge filter often to remove it.

Thanks for the help. does the poly fill in the skimmer change the flow rate and is there any thing i should pay attention to.
