What is the recommended way to add an automated acid pump to an iaqualink system? I see different solutions but I cannot see what’s is recommended with PLC1400 and iAqualink. Thank you for your help.

What solutions have you seen?

Any automation for pH will come from the solution you get not from the Aqualink. Jandy does not offer an automated pH control.

Sorry for posting in the wrong thread. The other was very helpful. Can I confirm a couple of things? It seems like the recommendation is to avoid anything that automates the pump of acid based on PH measurement. Is that correct? Instead I should connect the pump to a timer? In my case I can follow your lead and connect it to an outlet attached to the aux3 relay on the iaqualink panel?

the second question is about Intellichem vs Stenner. In this setup is one preferred over the other?

From my research I don't think doing anything with a automated PH measurement and dispense system is reliable enough. I would stick with a simple tank & pump system. I don't think the complexity of the "Intellichem" setup is worth the hassle, cost, or potential issues. You don't need to be that sophisticated. Add some acid on some regular schedule and you will be golden.

The Pentair tank and pump dispenser is just a very well re-packaged Stenner pump with a nice small tank setup. You could always go with a Stenner and build your own system - it will operate just as effectively in the long run. I was short on real estate in my equipment pad and fortunately could just fit the Pentair setup.
