Help! I have a 1981 hybrid pool - cement bottom - fiberglass sides. The pool was empty when we bought the house in February. We had it cleaned out and filled up - replaced filter and pump and everything worked well or so we thought. On the side of the pool farthest from the pump and filter pad - water is leaking (gushing up like a babbling spring). Before the pump and filter were installed we were loosing about an 1’inch a day but after we started the pump it is leaking like crazy. Where do we start?

If you are seeing a leak out of the ground AFTER the filter between the pool and filter, that would indicate a pressure-side leak in one of your return jet lines. If confirmed, someone will need to dig down to repair the cracked pipe. That's a shame, but let us know if you have more questions about the issue.
