We bought our home recently in Washington state, located between Olympia and Vancouver wa. Very excited / intimidated about having a pool at the house. The pool (and the whole house) has been neglected for years, but im trying to get everything in order. Im getting a crash course in pools and pool maint. There was a rusted out gas heater and rusted out pool steps when i moved in. Ive removed both. I added a sacrificial anode, as its a salt water pool. I completed the electrical bonding grid, so everything is actually connected. I'm getting ready to add a Hayward heat pro HP2140T. Ive had 2 "pool companies" out to look at the pool and make recommendations, ive also visited the local pool company several times. needless to say i believe i am more qualified to service the pool as i have a vested interest in it. The above mentioned sources had made several questionable calls so far, and im done with them. Im looking forward to the assistance and the education you guys provide, and I cant begin to thank everyone for all the help already. I look forward to getting this wild pool under control.

If you have not yet ordered/paid for the heater, I and others here would recommend a Raypak brand
heater instead of Hayward.
They have less components and cost less to repair compared to other heater brands.
And in general seem to be much more reliable.
