Hi everyone! My family and I live in Phoenix, AZ. We are blessed with 8 years old twins.

When I was growing up, I always dremaed about having a pool at home. My parents took us to the beach almost every summer and these times are amongst the happiest memories in my life. I love being in the water and so does my wife. The apples didn't fall far from the tree and our little ones could spend hours on end in the water when we go on vacation.

The house we bought has an empty backyard, which is one reasons why we bought it, so we could eventually build a pool. We've been putting money aside for it for several years and we haven't saved enough yet but the little ones are growing fast so we decided to pull the trigger and we are doing it. We decided on a concrete pool, since the price of the fiberglass options in our area is not really lower. And we also liked the flexibility it gave us on the design. Both increibly expensive and significantly higher than we anticipated. Our little ones won't be children forever and I known the wife and I will enjoyt the pool until the bitter end!

We designed the pool ourselves It's pretty straight forward design, and we are using a local, reputable PB.

Anyway, design is complete, permitting is in place and we should be starting digging as soon as the HOA decides they've dragged us thru the nut hole enough.

Very excited and looking forward to the times we will spend and the memories we'll make with the family.

Here's a little rendering of what we envision...

Good luck with your build. Do not determine the depth of your pool based on your 8 year old twins. What I mean is don't make it too shallow because of the twins. They will not be short for long.

Our shallow end is a little too shallow at 3 feet. I wish we would have went to 3 1/2 or 4 feet.
