New pool owner - Chlorine saga

Congrats on clearing that up and sticking with the long SLAM process! I know it's a pain in the rear and at times fells like your just pouring chlorine and money down the drain, but it does work, and you'll always end up with a pretty blue, clean pool in the end. Your pool is an excellent example that if you stick with it, a SLAM will clear up just about anything. Hopefully you won't have to deal with that nasty stuff again, and I hope your family gets better soon.

Passed an overnight test! I can't believe it. The war is over.

Congratulations! I have yet to pass that darn overnight test! The pool has looked beautiful for a week now, but chlorine still sinks overnight. So glad to hear there is hope from someone who ended up so deep into this process!

Our of curiosity did your CYA sink during this process? (Edited - I wondered if you continued to lose CYA during the process - I saw you started with crashed CYA).

CYA did not drop.
