Hello from sunny Arizona! We recently purchased a new home and finished our pool/spa combo about two weeks ago. On one hand, it’s fantastic to have a complete yard, on the other hand we are starting from the bottom on understanding pools, pool chemistry, and all things related to pools and spas. The only experience I have with pools is swimming in them. Interested in learning as much as I can!

Welcome! We're a year and a half in, and following the guidance here has been invaluable. No pool stores, just salt and muriatic acid (and occasionally chlorine) from Home Depot, and stabilizer from Amazon. We use the Taylor K-2006C test kit, but that or the TF-100 kit will tell you what you need to know about your water, and the Poolmath app will help you track and, when necessary, tell you what you need to do to correct any chemical levels.Welcome!
