New pool lights

Hi,
I have existing Fiberstar pool lights that are not functioning in my inground pool. I am having a new liner installed and would like to convert to LED lights. The pool company uses Hayward lights and the installer said he is reasonably sure that the horizontal space needed for the LED lights is not going to be long enough to accommodate them.
Does anybody have any input on this, and possibly an alternative lighting system that I could install ?

I'm guessing you currently have fiber optic. Would help to know which ones. Sr smith owns that now they make a retro kit to LED amd they have a few nicheless they offer. All depends on what you have now. I'm a Hayward guy too but I'll install whatever you want, so will he
