New pool install

I tell him this.......
I told my GC point blank that if he dug the pool on the not my plans he was holding, then he'd pay for it because he was building *his* pool at my my house, and not my pool.

He forged ahead like the pompous jerk he was. When the PB asked for his dig check a few days later I told him how the GC decided to build his own pool at my house and was now paying the bill. *THEN* the convo got FUN.

PB: But. BUT. We'll have to bring the excavator back to dig more pool.

Me: *blank stare*

PB: BUT BUT BUT.

Me: sounds like a *you* problem. Your whole crew will back me up that me and the GC got heated about it. He knew better.

My PB was cool, I basically changed my whole equipment pad, pipe size, added a return and he was pretty cool with it for the most part. At one point early on he tried to push back a little but I told him that at the end of the day when the pool is built and he has all his money, I'll be the paying for my utilities and having to take care of the maintenance.
When he was here at my house installing the pool he told me that at one point he was taken back by all the changes but realized that my research was solid and information was correct. The electrician on the other hand....🤮

Let's fast forward a week and im still having fun with the electrician. They redug the trench and put inch and a quarter conduit in, but they left my yard a mess that I had to fix. Not level temp fence around the pool was moved and not put back stone around the pool was pulled up and not spread back.
Let's talk inside, they decide ro install the conduit over my drywall ceiling when I have an unfinished area to get the wires to the panel. They said there was no other way...hmmm I found a way...!!! So they will have to move that now...I said you have my number and I was home why not ask me if this is ok...geez they also leave a mess down there, don't sweep I'm like wtf..
Ok last thing I asked them to get the cat 6 cable into my gazebo which all the electrical panels for pool and hot tub are mounted to on the backside. I said just put an LB and pop it in. Instead they decide to go up into the floor which would have been ok if they did it right but they didnt...a picture tells a 1000 words so ill attach..and when I ask him about this he said oh I was doing this as a courtesy...WHATTT!!! I said I would have done it myself if that was the case...I did fix it tho and ran the LB right though the wall like I wanted and I'll fill the hole they made in my floor.

The bond wire they ran, tight, across my external stair opening is still king. :laughblue:

It's functional electrical safety *and* a free game of limbo getting into the pool.

Ok I have an update here and I can't believe it....the electricians were here today, they had to redo the conduit in my basement as they installed it in the wrong spot...(yep its been like 7 weeks since the pool has been done) anyway I'm looking at one of my cameras in the basement and I see one if the guys drop his pants and pee on my basement floor/steps...im like WHAT!!! I told him to get the #@%& off my property. I'm am absolutely ****** off right now. I called the owner, he apologized, but this guy is supposedly a partner.

I would send him the bill for the bio hazard clean up! That is just plain nasty! I would also be blasting the company on yelp, google, etc!
I called the local PD he actually broke laws, breach of peace and indecent exposure...Im not sure how I'm going to handle this yet. The owner is supposed to come over himself to finish the job on Friday as I told him that guy is not allowed back on my property. We shall see how he's willing to handle the remaining balance due...

So who showed up?
The owner came today and finished most of it...he didn't run the lines for the auto cover...so I'll have to handle that I suppose. Conversation didn't go as well as I hoped but we shall see what happens. I don't want to post specifics on open forum if your interested pm me.

I'm finally getting my stamped concrete decking done. They are coming tomorrow to seal it. Then thus week the auto cover will be installed. While the pool will be done I have lots of work left, grading, irrigation, lawn.

Quick question for those of you that did concrete decking, the contractor told me it was 1800 sf, I measured it and it was like 100 sf less. Seems kinda shady to me. The owner measured it with me and confirmed my findings and adjusted the amount I owe still. He blamed it on his workers for not measuring properly...hmmmm what do you all think?
