New Pool Hills of TN

I'm waiting for Christmas to arrive here too! I have a pool in boxes in my garage that I'm waiting anxiously to get up! I need warm weather too!!!

:-D They showed up today to put in the liner! Wasn't expecting that so pleasant surprise. Now the anticipation..... DH is out running errands for me and he will be surprised when he comes home. He's like a little kid waiting for the pool.

Almost went with black liner here too. Look at it this way, it will warm the water up fast! Cant wait to see pics.

We are hoping it will since you well know how May is in TN. Not always that warm. Hope it won't be too warm, though. Hoping the waterfall will help keep it cooler during the heat of summer but then we will have to watch the pH. We can't have everything. :)

If it still get too hot and the waterfall doesn't cool it enough you can either buy or make your own fountain that fits in the return. It will help considerably. Just read a post talking about the fine mist helps cool more that a sheer decent of the waterfall.

Thank you. I have read that helps quite a bit.

I know you got that liner put in!!! We want pics!

Sorry, took some pics but will have to upload Monday. Today, celebrating Easter and a very rainy foggy day. Hope to get some good pics in the a.m.

After a decent day on Saturday, the liner went in and started to fill. Sunday was raining and foggy so it's hard to tell what the liner will really look like in the sun. They are coming back today to finish some things and it's a sunny day. Will try to get more pics.

OK, more photos with sunshine :-D Haven't seen much of that lately. Things progressing but have one busted skimmer line thanks to sub who decided to drive around pool with skid steer so we are replacing a line. Not great but could be alot worse.

Hopefully will finish filling today. We are really pleased with the color it's turning out to be. The grey in the liner gives it the aqua color turning it a deep turquoise midnight blue. Really cannot wait until we can have grass and no more mud! DH and the dogs will be ever so happy as well.

I knew I should have went with the black liner! Love the look. Curious to see it lit up at night now.

We let out a big sigh of relief when we saw it today. It's a huge decision and only saw pics online. We are looking forward to seeing it with lights, also. We have the Intellibrite coloring changing lights with the Easytouch 8 so we will be able to change the colors. Not sure how well that will show up with the dark liner but if you look to the east on up the road a bit and see a strange glow at night, it might just be us!

Ks,

That looks awesome. I really like that liner color. Great choice. It goes with that rock.

Jerry

Thanks so much. We are pleased so far. Will be sooooo glad to get some grass and patios in. It has been a long winter here in TN. So ready for warm weather which hopefully is coming next week.

As pool is filling, I go to pool store to get CYA (as I have looked for it elsewhere in our hometown and couldn't find it) and I now understand the term "pool stored"! I felt like a poor animal caught in a trap.... I held my ground armed with the knowledge that I have learned on this forum and walked out with nothing more. Some of the info that was given to me was just not true so thanks again for you all and the wealth of knowledge that you share on this site! :goodjob:
