New pool has a crack. Should I reject it or can it be repaired?

See pictures. My pool arrived on a trailer and I noticed the crack. It is on the shallow end. Not sure if this is normal and can be repaired easily or a sign of a larger problem…which then I should not accept it. Any thoughts? I appreciate anyone’s help and or advice. This is our first inground pool and a very large financial commitment. Thanks!1D193DE3-1501-4D4D-AEF5-24F3A2B547EC.jpegC62AF8BB-4F2C-4B64-AEB9-4B1A088D80DC.jpegC6964C09-6B76-409E-8C8E-7446DA5FDBAD.jpeg94FC584F-C111-4407-8E11-F11AFB30F42B.jpeg

The crack along the blue "tip" could be repaired and will be covered by the coping, but the crack underneath along the grey part of the shell would concern me. Gelcoat repairs are somewhat common and can be very strong, but this is a new pool and no telling how that crack will react once the pressure from the water is applied. The seller/installer needs to address the path forward. I would ask them to hold on the install until you speak to a supervisor and get confirmation on the most reliable way forward. Ideally, I would have them return it to the manufacture, but see what their supervisor/owner has to say about it.

I agree with @wireform
I would not let them take it off the trailer.
Send it back. It’s damaged.
What does the inside look like?
Take lots of pictures.

Once it’s off the trailer, it’s really hard to return. It took me three months to replace a damaged heater that the driver signed for as being damaged.

A crack is usually due to lifting without proper support.

It depends on how much stress the shell was put under and how far the crack extends.

If the crack is big enough, the shell might crack further when it is lifted into place or when the water is added.

Contact the manufacturer and see what they say.

Who is the manufacturer?

What does the warranty from the manufacturer cover?

What warranty is provided by the installer?

So the crack was about 5 inches in the shell. Didn’t go all the way through. Called the manufacturer, Leisure Pools (This the Ultimate 40 Pool). They said it was not structural. The pool installer fixed it. It is documented in the delivery notes as well as pictures. Pool builder and manufacturer said it should not be an issue. So fingers crossed, it won’t be. I will let y’all know when this project is done with pictures. Thanks for all the comments. I appreciate it.
