New Pool. FC drops too fast? should I bring up the CYA now?

Hi, my pool was replastered 3 weeks ago, my current chem,
FC 4, Ph 7.7, TA 100, CH 350, CYA 20ish(estimate lower than 30).

I'm going through 2-3ppm of FC from morning to night. I use about 64oz of 8.25% bleach daily. Since my CYA is low and new pool ph tend to drift up, I started using trichlor tabs to supplement bleach 2 days ago, I figured tab will bring CYA up slowly, drop Ph slowly and add FC, seems like a perfect fit for my situation. My question do you think I need to bring my CYA up to 35 quickly? Is my pool eating through too much FC currently?

2-3 ppm daily loss is pretty typical especially in the summertime heat. If you’ve already got the trichlor and have started down that road, stick to your plan.

Ive been losing 3-4 ppm a day lately with the high heat we’ve had on the east coast.

To bring up the CYA, tabs are too slow right?
Yes. Best to grab some cyanuric acid from your local store with a pool section (i.e. Walmart, etc). Since you appear to have some CYA already, you may wish to plan a dosage amount to increase CYA by 30 then re-test in a couple days. Adding 30 to what you have may get you close to 50. If not, you can always add more. Easier to add than take off. The opposite of my haircuts. :)

Adding CYA:
To increase CYA via granular stabilizer, place the required amount as calculated by the Poolmath calculator into a white sock and place in the poolside skimmer basket. For those concerned about suction flow to the pump, suspending the sock near a return jet or from a floating device will also suffice. Best never to allow undissolved granules to rest directly against the pool surface. Squeeze the sock periodically to help it dissipate. Once dissolved, consider your CYA adjusted to that programmed (target) level. CYA test readings should show a rise in 24-48 hours, however some pools may experience a longer delay to fully register. Best to confirm final CYA in about 5-7 days before adding any more stabilizer/conditioner.
