Well, it's kind of, sort of beginning to look swimming pool-like. Making progress on Nica time.
The shell is almost complete. Starting the bond beam which is going to be poured together with the multi function/special shape wall cap. Began running pipes. Some back filling done. LED lights installed etc.
We will leave all the plumbing exposed until we run the system and test everything for leaks. I cannot find expanding plugs etc to use for pressure testing here.
Mr Nica,
you can make some plugs for your pressure test out of PVC parts. Thats what I did.
Male coupling > short pvc pipe > pvc cap. Glue them together and screw the male coupling into the female coupling of the return lines. Just screw it in tight and it will hold pressure. Works like a champ.
Pretty much all the plumbing is run to the pool and back close to the pad. Need to do the final connections at the pad and to the equipment. A small amount of form and steel work and then the upper bond beam and wall cap will be poured together.
Top bond beam forms going on. Steps almost built. Putting on wood for forms and plumbiing 80% run. Pool is backfilled to the pipes. Slowly but steadily getting there. 3 more weeks and then a week for a privacy fence.
top bond beam and a cantilevered wall cap which is a countertop/on one side (low side) is formed up and almost ready to pour tomorrow. plumbing is 90%. 3 more weeks (maybe 4) plus a week for a privacy fence
I'll say! Wow, what a bunch of plumbing Warren!! Why is some in SCH 80? Just availability I guess? Whatever the case, I hope you can remember where it all goes.
That is really something. Cant wait to see the finish going in, this is going to be beautiful with all that Tile.
Availability. It is weird. Some things are easy to get here and a few are difficult. 45 degree elbows are hard to come by in 1-1/2 here for some crazy reason. 2" 45 degrees everywhere. 1-1/4 s well.
