Got it. So I have the Chlorine version vs the SWG one. I didnt want to worry about the salt corrosion down the road.

The Nature2 Fusion appears to come in two models...
The Fusion Soft is a Saltwater Chlorine Generator plus a mineral cartridge..
The Fusion is a Tablet Dispenser plus mineral cartridge..
At this point I am unsure of which one you are getting, but I would not recommend using tablets nor any minerals...

Equipment notes say Chlorine version. That is where I was confused when that comment first came up because I didnt know it had a SWG one as well.
So maybe I have some bad info. However if there is any trace of salt, doesnt it have an effect on equipment/furniture/rocks etc? Anyways, I would still lean toward chlorine vs swg anyways.

FusionSoft is SWCG plus Minerals (Check that link I posted).
Saltwater pools have 3500ppm of salt. Non salt pools have 1000+ppm. The ocean has 35000ppm. The slightly higher salt level in a pool is not enough to promote additional corrosion above what would already happen with just water. Most people also cannot taste the salt in a saltwater pool. What you are saying are myths and misconceptions told by pool builders that do not understand the science of modern pools.

The salt level in a Saltwater pool is about the same as the salt in your tears... About 4000ppm, while the salt in the ocean is about 35,000ppm.
Saltwater pool and non-saltwater pools are both Chlorine pool.. You have to add chlorine to both of them.. in a non-saltwater pool, you add either a solid or a liquid chlorine.. In a saltwater pool, the salt in the pool water passes though a Saltwater Chlorine Generator (SWCG) and is converted into chlorine gas and then back into salt..
Even in non-saltwater pools there is generally about 1000ppm of salt.
The reason that we do not recommend using 3" chlorinate tabs is that they contain CYA which, over time, builds up in your pool making algae control impossible. If you use 3" tabs you will have to "shock" your pool every week or so, to prevent algae.. This makes your whole pool area smell like a public pool...
The use of tabs is why most of our members have found their way to TFP...
The key to using tabs is to continually test your CYA level and then drain and refill you pool as the levels get too high.
The myths about saltwater pools are similar to myths about space aliens, a lot of people believe them whether there is any proof or not...

Thank you everyone. I am here to learn for sure. Been ages since I have taken care of pools. Growing up, I worked for my Dad taking care of about a dozen apartment pools. Tech has changed for sure since then.
Have you been bonding with it? aka watering it. You can hand water with a hose. Once you get tired of that you can use a sprinkler to do it for you. This helps it cure slower so not as many cracks. Some cracks are normal so no worried there.

Starting this morning on the watering.
Well it was slow progress for the month of February. 9 straight days of rain really out the trade workers behind. However today we finished the stone work and next week is the decking!! Almost there!! Very happy with the design and rock we picked.
Well. Was going to post today since we were scheduled for plaster. I think I may have a new one for the reason I don't have pictures of new plaster. I got a text from my PB. No plaster today, material didnt come in. Even though this has been scheduled three weeks out. Oh well. Now time for the rain to come in tomorrow and the wait starts over again.

Yea. Sorry for being a baby LOL. Was a tad bit annoyed and had to vent somewhere. As far as what happened. All I know is the PB got the order to the plaster company correctly and on time. As of right now, No dates are set.
No need to be sorry and you were not being a baby at all! This should not have happened! Someone dropped the ball and they are having to find a way to bounce it so they get to stay in the game!

So latest update. We had chosen the WetEdge Serenity Stone. Which is new to the market this year. Only a handful of folks in Texas have been trained on it and offer. The plaster company they had come out to get things ready is not one of them. Though they are getting training on it here soon I am told. There is only 1 applicator here in Dallas that does this product and not even sure if my PB will use them. Heading up here shortly to their showroom to talk to the owner.
