New pool build in McKinney,Texas

I hope so! I've seen a lot of talk about test kits on the site. I asked my pool builder if I needed to test the water before hand but he said no and that we would receive a kit during pool school. Should I be doing something with the kit before that?
Ask your PB what test kit he is giving you please.
I THINK I know which one it will be but want to make sure before I say anything else.

Congrats! Just had one put in up the road in Frisco. This site has all the info you'll need
So far, I love the site and probably spend WAY too much time on it. Our first inspection is today and as long as all is well, we will have gunite by the end of the week... OMG, we are getting a pool! I mentioned to someone that we might be getting a pool and my hubby was like "We have a huge whole filled with steel in our backyard... It's safe to now say that we are GETTING a pool!"
I don't know, that isn't how they measured it. It's 9'x4'x4' and it's the same as the PB showroom.
