New Pool Build - Conroe, TX - LOTS of pics! Come say hi Y'all.

I will post some pics tonight - flickr is not being very cooperative - it took 2 hours to upload my 30 sec video from my phone.

My PB is not concerned about the cave in - I showed him all the pics - but he said he would stop by tonight and see if he needs to bring more guys tomorrow evening for the gunite. He said we are scheduled for gunite TOMORROW!! BUT with all the rain today - it may or may not happen. But it is CLOSE!

Here is the video - - - -

Worry not! Mine was much worst and we are all shot now. (Although, I'm not sure how bad my gunite bill will be - it took 1.5 days to shoot my pool!) Luckily, this is on your PB. I'd sit back and hope your gunite shows tomorrow and enjoy an adult beverage.

I'll try and post pics on my thread soon. I started yesterday, but they weren't uploading so I gave up.

It does seem as if we are one big neighborhood of friends on here! It is fun to watch and encourage each other. It is also fun to help spend others money LOL!

I have not found another online community that is as helpful and caring as TFP is.

I also feel as if we would all have a blast if we saw each other in real life. I can "hear" each voice when I am reading the posts. Of course no one would sound or look like I think but it is still fun to pretend!

Or maybe he is dying to get her out of his hair? (if he has any?) LOL.. Just kidding Sunbaby! Just kidding!
:)

Wendy,
your pool is looking great, and if you are tired of the mud already, well you ain't seen nothin' yet!
Hopefully the cave in wont be any worse than on your video. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Looks like you picked a good builder. This one is going about as fast as I've ever seen on the forum, and I used to watch a bunch of them.

Congrats on the fast job!

He did look a little older today :)

The cave ins always look the worse to you than anyone else. As soon as they are able to get back in (hopefully tomorrow), they will make short work of getting it back together and ready to shoot. Mine was at least this bad and probably worse than what I see here.
Keep the faith and it'll get done before you know it.:shark:

So I picked my waterline tile. It was a quick easy decision --as soon as I saw it, I knew. It is called Taos Slate, Twilight Black. It looked gorgeous next to the Mossrock! The Pebblesheen is Blue Granite

So, right now it is dry - but we do have a chance for rain. Modern Method Gunite showed up this morning - they have 6 trucks parked out front! They are making TONS of progress!!! I asked the supervisor that was here this morning and he said most pools are 4-6 weeks for them to build. OMG I could be swimming soon!!!

They did cover my windows and the best camera with tarps - so footage is far and few - but I did grab some photos.

I will post more once they upload to flickr!

Congrats! I know it is such a relief to get gunite shot!!! Now, you have to keep it wet to aid the curing. I suggest planting one of those old school $10 sprinklers right in the middle at let it run for 10-15 minutes a few times a day. Or... you can do your rain dance if you have one.

I hope your happy with your shape. I'm sure there is always some shock seeing it in person. I know I thought mine was WAY too big seeing it. Getting in it made me feel much better about it. My gunite took a good 15 hours to complete over 2 days! 6 12 yard trucks.
