New Pool Build - Conroe, TX - LOTS of pics! Come say hi Y'all.

They finished prepping the pool and my PB says Pebbletec should be here around noon!

Suz, I am so tired I feel like a zombie! I wish you were coming today - it would be nice for someone to share my excitement in person! The hubs won't be excited until it is all done . . .

I will try some more pics - when I save from my computer it tells me the format is wrong (but it is a .jpg) and when I try to link from Flickr it tells me it is invalid. I didn't have any problems till the website went down - so maybe it is related. But I will keep trying for sure!

Just looked outside and noticed the owner just pulled up with a backhoe thing on a trailer. You guys will get tired of my play by play today!

Sorry Suz - I had to show off my first and hopefully last - snake kill!

This is the owner of the company running the trencher. He said they are so backed up he decided to come out and dig my drainage ditches himself because his pools shouldn't take this long to build! I am a little shocked, somewhat amazed and very thankful! These guys work HARD and it seems like 7 days a week.

A few comments. First, that snake seems to have separation anxiety. Second, you are losing your all natural pool, must be sad. Third, never bad for owners to get out on the shop floor. Fourth, yeah!

I'll forgive you for the snake photo. It's not so bad when I know they're dead. Clearly this guy is!! Was he in your pool, or was this the one from yesterday?

Are you kidding?? You'd better keep the play by plays coming! Your plaster is what's keeping me rolling today!

Your pictures are great. Seeing all the work the guys are having to do really makes a statement about our spring/summer rains. It must be a lot more clean up for the crews. There is more water in the shells made worse by the delays so the water has been sitting for longer. Not to mention the gross frogs that moved in and settled in all these pools!!

Gosh your property is beautiful! The dappled morning sunlight is gorgeous. Just imagine how it will look when all is finished! Or even 24 hours from now! LOL!

If I could be there, I would in a heart beat! I HAVE to be here for the a/c guy.

Thanks for keeping us posted! This is so much fun!!

Suz.

It has been 4 minutes. I have nothing new to report :) lol.

I am so NOT sad about the "natural" pool leaving me. There were so many dead frogs - huge floating gross frogs. I felt so bad for those guys walking around in that smelly much. BLAH. So excited I can't stand it.

A little worried it might start raining. Its looking very cloudy right now. I think I am going to run to the store and get stuff to make the crews some cookies . . . something to pass the time. I mean, I COULD clean my house. It is a tiny bit muddy and gross - but I would rather bake and watch the excitement!

Suz, so sorry about your AC - that is the absolute worst! AND it almost always happens in the middle of summer when the AC repairmen are super swamped. Hopefully he gets out there today. If you need a place to cool off - I can't offer a pool - but we keep our house chilly for Eddie - heat is really hard on MS - so we can share our AC!

You are so very kind to offer to share your cool air! We're not so bad off. I put in new windows about 3 or 4 years ago, so the house stays cooler or warmer longer. And..... we have the luxury of a unit for the upstairs. I can go up there, it's just its hard to do the up and down thing.

I'm keeping fingers crossed that all the rain comes to my house and stays away from yours! I need it to keep cooler anyways!

I've given up trying to keep the floors clean and the house dusted. We vacuum, but that's about it. My back doors aren't insulated very well, so all the dust comes in there - plus we usually go in and out the back. So I'm with you! Making cookies is a lot more fun!

Hopefully the plaster guys are there now, or very soon! I know time is drraaagggiiiiing for you. Hang in there! You're nearly at the finish line!

Suz.

How exciting Woot!!!

We are cleaning our house because we were stranded here waiting for our new washing machine to arrive. I am about to go out in the garage and clean that up a bit then I am calling it quits for the day.

How exciting to get your pebble finish! We are scheduled for shotcrete next week and it seems like we are so much farther away than you are. I can't wait until the day you are currently at.

I totally spit on my computer (only lemonade, nothing horrible!) when I read that…I know the feeling, but you are in the home stretch. In one week all your waiting will start becoming a hazy memory! I love that I am already forgetting all the stress, headaches, and heartaches of the past 2 months :sunny:

Once the gunite goes in - you "feel" like you have a pool - it makes the waiting a lot easier!

There are a LOT of men back their working - I am trying to get pics and videos!!! I am pretty sure they think I am crazy. They have no idea!

Ok Wendy! It's been almost an hour! Don't you understand your duty is to US here on TFP!!!! Not really, sort of! Are things going well? Did they remember to bring the shells? Maybe too many shells??? Have you finished the cookies? Are you sitting outside with your feet up watching them work????

Zombie: You don't know how much I'm counting on my loss of memory after the pool is in. It's getting sooooo difficult to be patient! Then I get excited for someone like Wendy getting another big phase completed, and I get even antsier! I feel like I'm five years old again and there are still 2 weeks left before Christmas! Keep reminding all of us still sitting with mud in our backyards!

Suz.
