New old SWG?

My cousin has a commercial facility with a pool. He installed a large Hayward SWG (not sure of model number) and after 6 months turned it off. He thought the large swimmer load was a problem and the SWG was not keeping up. It has been sitting for years in system, but off. He offered the SWG to me.

What do you think about the health of a system that had water flowing through it for years with no voltage on?

What should I look for?

It might have some scale build up, but you can clean that and start using it...

I assume it comes with the control panel etc...

It has a stand alone power supply. No automation.

If it was free and the right size, I'd try it. Ask for the model of it cell. How many gallons is your pool?
