I have had my Intex pool up now for 3 seasons, staying up year-round. Zero issues. Sometime this week out of no wear one side of the pool seems to have sunk a good 3 inches (it was roughly off by less than an inch). The corner pieces fell out and the (2) legs on the end are now near vertical. Thankfully we are at the end of the season and looks like I will be doing a tear down and rebuilding up the lower section.
Just for reference, the ground was dug out roughly 6 inches down to 1 inch in order to level this area being careful not to disturb anything much deeper getting us level to within 1 inch (as per the laser level). We then used a commercial compactor to make sure things were settled. I used a small amount of sand to get within 1/2 inch of level and then used the compactor again to settle everything. On top of that is 1" think insulation boards.
No happy having to revisit this all over again...
