Hi. I am converting my existing Chlorine pool to a Saltwater pool. My pool is a 20x40 indoor pool so I am hoping this helps lower some pool chemical cost and stop turning my granddaughters hair green. lol Just added to salt to the pool yesterday and will test my water after 24 hours.

Hey Bridget and Welcome !!!

Many poolstore products or half the Walmart shelf add copper. Folks don't know until they go green.

The two biggest culprits are unnecessary algecide, Xtra blue tabs and various shocks. Steer clear of all of them and have your additions approved here first. We'd love to help you out. Have some reading:

Your pool already had salt in it from the Chlorine you used in the past. I hope you tested salt level before adding any salt. If not, don't be surprised if your current salt level is higher than you expected.
