Hello everyone!
I am excited to join this group and hoping to learn from you all about how to best maintain the swimming pool. I have an 18,000 gal inground fiberglass saltwater pool with a chlorine tablet bypass system. I have decided to maintain it myself by learning from other pool owners and community members.

Looking forward to learn and share my experience with you all.

Cheers,

Welcome to TFP!

I'm not sure what a "chlorine tablet bypass system" is, but if it involves a dissolving tablets into the pool, you probably don't need it. I assume by saltwater pool, your pool has a salt water chlorine generator (SWG). That's good!

One of the cornerstones of the TFP method is testing you own water using a TFP recommended test kit Test Kits Compared. When shopping around, make sure to include the Taylor K-1766 salt test kit.

While wading around here, spend some time in Pool School. Here is a good set of articles to get you started:

Best wishes!
