I’m a new member from Texas. I had 1 residential pool built back in the late 90’s from dirt to beautiful pool & decking. Remodeled after 10years with updated coping & player.
I’m sure a lot of the basics haven’t changed, but good to learn as much as I can as I’m on the board of a small community that has a pool. maintence at least these first 7 years has been low. Now, however, more significant wear & tear items are coming up so I’ve been doing some research on this forum & now joining this forum to be able to ask my own questions on trouble free pools!

Hey Jonesy and Welcome !!!

We do things against the grain here. We evolved with science and the industry has their head in the sand. Not for nothing, they're sitting on a cash cow screwing everyone's pool up and then selling them generic chemicals like baking soda at $13 a pound, only in a fancy wrapper. Glad it's been a good go for you so far, many find us at their wits end.
