Liquid Chlorine
I’m perplexed. I had a new vinyl liner installed about a month ago. Got my PH/ALK balanced quickly and my Calcium level to 200. Got my Chlorine level up to a 10 right away. Used Diclor and Triclor until my CYA got to 40/50 and switched to liquid. Holding my chlorine low level to 4/5. Been testing in the evening after sunlight moves away from pool and in the morning before sunlight hits it. Chlorine levels the same. After all this, I now see green algae. I think I’m doing everything as TFP recommends, so why the algae?

Holding my chlorine low level to 4/5.
Why ? The sun burns off up to 4ppm a day. You need to add what the UV is burning off, even on cloudy days, and still remain with residual FC per your CYA level.

Zero prizes are won by targeting low chlorine. Well. I guess a swamp is gifted, but you won't appreciate it.

Georgia has alot more UV than Toronto. You'll be getting scorched soon and need to compensate accordingly.
