Nice, I'm also in the process of getting an IG pool. How much did they charge for the Versa plumb kit, or is it standard equipment with you PB. Thanks

It is standard with my builder. They have been great so far. No upselling or suggesting that I will get this but for $XX more I should get that. The only change I made from what they suggested was to a SWG. After researching here I made sure to request one that can handle twice my water volume. The one I am getting is 3 times so I should be set. Good luck with your project!

OH how pretty!! I love it!! Please take and share a pic of where this work of art is going!!!

Absolutely! The countdown to excavation is on! I'll get some pics up later to show what the before looks like. The nice thing about building this time of year is that you don't have to water your backyard because it is about to get destroyed.

Here is the current state of the yard. Stuff is everywhere because we just had our old patio cover torn out as well as new fencing put up.

I'll be watching this build closely as your yard looks to have similar dimensions as ours (~ 70-80ft W x ~30-36ft D). Our back window, door and patio are all in about the same spot as well. This'll be a great build to help us visualize the process in our yard when the time comes!

We are in the finishing stages of our pool. We are by no means experts on equipment, but have kind of wished we had put our water features (3 bubblers and 3 deck jets) on a separate pump for flexibility. We have a variable speed pump, which is great. But it would be nice to be able to have the main pump on a low speed while still having some solid power to the water features while we are in the pool or hanging in the backyard. Maybe we just haven't been adventurous enough with playing with settings.

I also wish we had our 3 sheer descents on a separate pump. Actually, I wish now we would have skipped the raised wall and sheer descents all together and put that money towards something else, like more decking, furniture etc. We never turn on the sheer descents. And more features means more things that can go wrong. One of our sheet descents is not working right now. And our raised wall with landscaping behind it is a pain when brushing the pool. I'd keep the bubblers on the tanning ledge though, because they are basically just pool returns facing upwards. :)

I decided to put the bubbler and descents on a separate pump and there will be a switch on the patio cover next to the pool light switch where I can turn the water features on and off. Want to be able to control without going to the pad as well as maintain ph by not having them run all the time.

You pretty much nailed the dimensions! Glad to have you aboard! Now if the power company could read a plan properly instead of asking questions where the answers are right in front of them we could get this permit thing moving so we can dig. At this point with the way permitting is going it looks like the end of July is when we will start digging unless things pick up substantially.

What is the read thing you are talking about???????? Sorry.......:(

My builder submitted the plan that showed the water's edge to be 11'6" away from the overhead power lines. My power provider rejected the plan and said the water needs to be at least 10' from the power line and because the power line is 1' inside my property they wanted the edge of the water to be 11' from the powerline. HELLO! The plan that was submitted clearly stated the water's edge was 11'6" away from the power line! :grrrr:

Good news is my city is averaging 2 weeks in approving permits. Just got to get it out of the utility company first so that it can get to the city.

It all checks out. However, they cut my internet connection when plumbing, thanks for nothing dig tess, so the telco comes out tomorrow to fix it. So far they dug Monday, plumbing Tuesday and rebar today. Moving along. Will get the timelapse up and more drone video when my home internet connection is back.
