Well, after waiting 6 weeks my Tub finally arrived yesterday along with the electrician to wire it up. As of this morning it is up to temp and I am anxious to get it. I added all the chemicals last night, to include SLAM level on the chlorine. Still working on getting all the numbers dialed in, But I figure slow correction over a couple days is better than chaising my tail. Right now: FC 16, CC 0, CH 150, Salt 2000, TA 120 and PH is 8.2, however I understand that with a high CL the PH reading is not accurate. The clorine did not drop much, if at all last night so I take that as a good sign, although I wish it would drop so I can go jump in....Perhaps that is the best way to bring it down, lol. Thank you all to a great forum, I am on my way to a TFP hot tub. The delivery guys advice was pretty ridiculous. I won't even go there as that is worthy of a whole thread on its own....

I did not add any borates. I brought my TA down, just slowly over a few days. After each use (aeration) I would check PH, and then add acid to bring it back down and also lower TA. For the last week, I have not had to add any acid and the TA and PH have been rock solid.
