NEW Gunite IG pool - West Texas

And here I was worried that you'd blown past me and were too busy swimming to post. Good luck with the decking!

hahaha, sadly not. The wait for concrete is killing me and my arbitrary schedule. This weekend I'll put up my storage bldg.

Luckily my 6wks are up tomorrow...and this is the last time I have to get in line for anything. Lets hope the PB gets all his crew over here daily to knock this pool out. (Funny guy I am).

decking is going in. I made multiple calls to Mr PB this AM to make sure they didn't recreate MiaOK's issue with the "pour-a-lid" product. I'm pretty sure I got on his nerves, but he knows I'm anal.

Okay, looks like the Frontier desert deck product is going down. We had some issues with the color, it was going to be DARK grey....long story but I think the new color will be fine now...albeit not as light as the sample pictured earlier in my thread.

This last photo....I did the deck stuff in this area (hence why it looks like ****). It's in the equipment area. It's my wife's parents. They both died prematurely.

I too loved the bird shadow in the photo. I chuckled when I saw it. Our PB has commented a few times on how many dove he could kill from our backyard. My wife informed him it's a no kill zone. Lol. Unless the weiner dog catches one.

Up close you ask? These are before everything dried hence the darker spots. Those are disappearing now.

This is the Autofill.

I have some cleanup to do, but I think they will look very good.

This progress has made my entire feelings for this project flip 180 degrees. I have a little more patience...I'm sure Mr PB will be pleased to know that. I drove him absolutely nuts (I watched as much of the progress from work as I could, and it was scaring the poo out of me.)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. PB states they will work on the tile this week. He's been rather open about dreading the spillover. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly and we get this project completed by early may. I'm betting on mid may myself, wife says late may. Haha, gotta love the optimism. We shall see.

Next thing for me is to get everything setup to get bulk bleach. Everyone's favorite brushpup is helping me quite a bit on that. I may owe him a beer or 12.

Workers came on Easter Sunday!

They cleaned out the pool and sucked out 6-8" of water from the rainstorm last night. (Most rain we've had in years.) they filled a wheel barrow with concrete bits and pieces.

This is 4-22-14 progress. IMO not much progress...but at least it's progress.

Both waterfalls are plumbed and installed.

And another worker started on the prebeding for tile.

Well, I haven't been that much help, but I'll sure take the beer. (Don't ever assume I'll pass that up)

Lookin good man! I hope they continue on sure and steady. With any luck we'll be filling by noon.

I'm very happy for you, but I'm a wee bit jealous too....LOL. They have a ton of work left on mine. Here's 4/23/14's progress. They thinned and leveled the spa back wall.

I hope that means they will start laying coping and tile soon.

Ol Bruce just couldn't take any more :p...kinda neat the location he picked to lay.

Yeah, I'm somewhat anxious about the spillover. I know there will be little room for error, and lord knows I'm good at harassing my PB. Luckily he's a good guy and takes it all in stride.

Casey, Bruce is one of 4 mutts we have at the house, he's the laziest by far. I tried to get a pic with Axel in it but the crazy dog just runs and runs...Then there's the two wieners...they are old and have to be out when Axel is locked up (fragile old dogs vs insane goofball dog). The wife will be pleased you acknowledged how cute her dog is. HAHA, my wife is also slightly nutty.
