Hi! I live in Central MD. I grew up with an in ground pool that was built in the 80s in my backyard and ever since my husband and I built our dream home in 2018, I've been dreaming of getting a pool in our backyard so our kids can enjoy it to the fullest like I did. The pool was such a large part of my childhood. Some close friends of ours got a pool in 2021 and we loved it so much we finally took the plunge. I am a lap swimmer so we made the pool 51 feet long. We are using their same contractor. He has an awesome reputation and seems to know his stuff. Wet winter weather in MD has slowed us down a bit lately, but hoping to be ready to swim by April! Happy to be here and to learn from all of you. I'm a little overwhelmed at everything that goes into pool ownership but have been slowly reading the materials and sharing with my husband. Thank you for this great community!

Welcome, one word of advice is I know your highly recommended pb will come through perfectly but things happen that are not under anyone's control and go unnoticed only to have the issue rear its ugly head at the finish. Take as many pictures as you can from every step and save them for a very long time this way it gives you the option look at the installation process when something pops up.

I see you noted your salt system as Auto Salt. We recommend that you size your salt system at 2x your pool volume. Looks like the largest autosalt is a 50. You have at least a 38,000 gallon pool. You might have them put in two 50 cells in parallel.

One other thought...if you are building a plaster pool (your signature doesn't say), these can come in handy.
