We are mid-renovation of an in-ground pool. New baja shelf was shotcreted last week. Currently waiting for waterline tile to arrive from Dallas.
This project has been a long time coming as I couldn't financially swing it while I had 2 kids at University.
Now that they are on their own, I was able to use my annual bonus to cover most of this project.

Old system was sand filter and a 1-speed pump.
New system is cartridge filter, variable speed pump, and and IC60 SWCG.
I received my test kit from TFTestKits already.
Eagerly awaiting pool fill day. I'll take a few days off work to spread the landscape rock and be involved in the new plaster startup procedures.
Need to remember to record the water meter and see what it shows for gallons used while filling. Addition of the shelf would have changed the volume some.
Ready to get used to the salt system and follow the TFP methodology.

B,

It sounds to me like you have already done all the hard stuff. :goodjob:

Getting a large cartridge filter, a large VS pump, a Salt cell, and a great test kit, is most of the battle.

A saltwater pool is the easiest type of pools to maintain..

We will be glad to get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I have no test results yet, but can you verify that my Poolmath results page is correctly linked to my forum profile in the meantime?
