I've had a 18k SWG pool for about a decade. For a few years, I 'had a system' with preset chemical adds (1 lb CYA, 8 lb borax, 1 lb calcium, 1/2 gal muriatic) to each 40 lb bag of salt necessary. It kept things pretty inline with strip tests. Over last few months we have had more rain than typical and was constantly adding chemicals/salt to restore balance. Little SWG just couldnt keep up and started getting black algea. My OCD brain kicked in and rigged up an Atlas-Scientific probes (pH, ORP, EC (TDS and Salinity)). Now more questions come and I am hear searching for answers. Nice to meet everyone.

TFP methods are based on self-testing so that you aren't guessing what your pool needs. SWCG are consumable so your cell may be on the way out, you may not have enough CYA, you may have algae. Only self-testing can give you the information and confidence to know which of those is true. I think you'll enjoy the journey.
