THIS!!!!I would try contacting the pool manufacturer and see if repairing the fiberglass would put it out of warranty.

San juan pools out of Lakeland flwhat pool manufacturing company made your pool?
I would definitely agree with that..This guy shouldnt be installing pools
You can text me, 813 326 2452, I keep hearing from the builder its fine but looks so not fineCould you clarify some of the details in those pictures? In one picture it looks like the bottom of the coping is sitting directly on the fiberglass pool shell. And in other pictures it looks like there's anywhere from 2 to 6 in of concrete in between the pool shell and the bottom of the coping is that correct? Is the fiberglass shell really that far out of level? Can you check to see if the bottom of the pool coping is the same distance off of the water level all the way around the pool?
If this is the case I'm curious how you would install tile onto dissimilar surfaces like that.
Am I missing something here? @jimmythegreek
What can I do. Are you a builder shouid I nkt allow him to continue can you call me ? Now I'm really nervous and dont want him coming to touch the pool anymore to exactly that hide the mistakeLate to the party.......I had to look twice at the pics this guy obviously had no care for his work ethics. A fiberglass pool is 1/4" max industry standard this gives you half an inch out of level worst case. He should have never left pool like that and continued. What is with all these PB having no transits or laser levels? I dont understand how somebody does this and thinks nothing of it. He was counting on pool tile to hide his mistake. What if you weren't doing tile then what? Typical hack job. Theres no good fix other than trying go find an extra large skimmer to adjust the best you can. A patch will look horrible and just as bad. This guy shouldnt be installing pools
I didnt ask for pool tile he said he was giving it to is but it seems now I know why. I have countless texts asking and telling him in novmeber I don't think its level please fix and I have countless texts saying it is fine dont worry. do I have a case here? What can I do. Actually my. Covered Lanier had cement and we chose to do a travertine deck so the existing lanai looks nice and flat and as soon as it goes outside the existing lanai you start to see a slight higher angle leading up to the copping of the pool. If I put a ball at the pool it wouid roll towards the laniaOne other thing to check is The level of your pool deck. If he really did raise the coping that much to correct the unlevel pool is the new deck height going to be an issue where it ties into anything?
You are really best keeping the conversations in the forum, that way others can chime in with their experiences. Personally I would absolutely put the brakes on this whole process until you both have agreed on a path forward.
How does he respond when you ask him how is he going to fix the skimmers.? skimmers definitely have a water level sweet spot where they work best so as they are now they cannot work efficiently together. Anything he does to correct the problem without removing and replacing them with the correct skimmers at the correct height I would imagine would be a very crude and ugly thing.
Another issue you can bring up if he trys to leaves the skimmers where they are (so low) is how much water does that put over your benches? Nobody wants to sit in 6 in of water.
You also paid for a deep end that is supposed to be X feet deep correct?
Do do you have a signed contract that actually states your water depths?
I would make a list of all the issues and potential issues that have been mentioned here thus far. Check the contract and see if any of them actually pertain to what you have in writing.
Personally, when you're discussing it with him whenever possible I would say "I don't see how this is possible to fix without putting in an entirely new pool".
Negotiating 101 says always start high...

Sorry, dont understandSo you are saying the pool deck elevation is where you need it. Correct?
I notice the deck was off around the pool and more level under my lanai which was cement before he layed the travertineSorry, dont understand
The contract is def not detailed. I needed to pay for the pool 21k then when pool was delivered installed needed to pay the reminder 24k, we only owe 500.00 more. What type of contract do you have can you block out personal info ant post it or post the fine print details. And what's the payment schedule how much is total job with him amd how much have you paid him. And dont pay him anything for right now you need to make a decision on how this is gonna go
